The horizontal rectangular composition is a collage of various shaped wood grains pieced together to make a unified whole. The grain of the wood varies depending on the cut and type of wood. The wood grain is mostly linear running vertically and horizontally with many areas highly textured. The wood patterning is printed in gold ink on a black background.
