Title

Dogs

Description

A multitude of dogs fill this monochromatic horizontal composition. In the foreground on the left, three dogs stand on their hind legs walking in a line towards a dog performing a handstand in the center of the composition. To the right and slightly behind this dog, two dogs dressed in tutus stand on their hind legs with their backs toward the viewer. They are facing a large ball, which is being pushed by a dog to the right while another dog stands on top of it. In the background, two ladders with a plank resting on top of them form an ad-hoc seesaw-like structure, as three dogs balance on top of it. One dog stands underneath the triangle formed by the ladders, seemingly holding it in place. Beneath this configuration, on the left side of the composition, a dog can be seen pushing a stroller with a puppy inside it. Mairs is inscribed on the lower right corner of the composition.
