Description

In the center of the image is a male figure mostly nude wrapped in a shroud that is draped around his shoulders and waist. The figure has long curly hair and a full beard. His right hand is out with his index and middle finger pointed out while his ring finger and pinky are wrapped towards palm. His other hand is flag pole that also resembles a cross. He is standing on a tomb that has two handles on each end. There are several men on the ground at his feet dressed in knight's armor. The knights are in different position around the male figures feet. Each knight is showing different poses of distress. Behind the main male figure's head is a bright light that is shaped into three bursts. Albrecht Durer's initials and the year of the original piece's creation is position on the bottom right corner of the piece.
