Description

The black pot has a large body and narrow foot. The black glaze is reflective and a geometric pattern around the widest part is made using the absence of the glaze. An inscription reads, "Carlos & Carmelita Dunlap San Ildefonso Pueblo"
Carmelita Dunlap (1925-1999) was a highly skilled potter in San Ildefonso Pueblo. Carmelita and her son Carlos Dunlap (1958-1981) worked together for a few years before his death.
