Description

This piece is made from a light brown clay with an orange glaze. On the front of the piece is a carved butterfly surrounded by geometric designs above and below the butterfly.
Carol Vigil was bown in March 1960. She learned to make pottery from her mother, grandmother, and aunt. She has been making pottery since the 1980s and typically works with red clay decorated with sgraffito geomeric, floral, and animal designs.
"Carol Vigil Jemez" is carved on the right side of piece.
