Dust of India

Dublin Core

Title

Dust of India

Description

The composition contains five women lined up in two rows facing right. They are all wearing light colored long dresses with shawls over their heads. The three women in the front row balance bowls on their heads. Two women in the row behind the others appear to have a white steer between them, with only its neck and head showing. The woman to the left of the steer has her hands up near her neck as if about to clap. The woman to the right of the steer is holding a flower like object over her head. All the figures move through a modulated colored space with no clear definition of ground and horizon.
