Queen of Key West

Dublin Core

Title

Queen of Key West

Description

A large built woman fills the majority of the composition; standing in high heels looking on a beach surrounded by aquatic creatures at her feet. In her left hand she is holding a string of fish both large and small. On the right side one large fish hangs from her bodice. She's wearing a low cut tattered dress with a ragged hem. There is a large bouquet like corsage is on her right shoulder. Her head is tilted looking up and off into the distance. It appears that she had flowers on her head. She stands in front of the middle ground of the ocean which is below dark clouds over head seem to suggest a storm.
