African Shore

The bottom third of the composition contains a gathering of people dressed in white clothing, some seated on dome-like white shapes and others standing on a dark ground. In the middle ground a faint image of people in long canoe-like boats that arch up at the bow and the stern. These boat-like images are seen against a modulated background of black and green. It is difficult to see where the sea and the sky start and finish.
