A Short Prayer in the Luxembourg

Dublin Core

Title

A Short Prayer in the Luxembourg

Description

In the composition are five nuns of different shapes and sizes dressed in habits praying outdoors. One nun is standing out in front of the other four, facing the left; her arms are crossed over her chest. The four nuns, behind her are standing in a diagonal line from right to left with three of them huddled together in the center of the composition. They all have their hands pressed together in prayer. The nun on the far right hand is looking into the composition facing away from the viewer; she appears to be holding up a book to her face. In the background are bare trees dotting the landscape.
