The composition is a view looking a waterfall dominating the upper middle ground of the composition. In the foreground is a sidewalk leading down to the foot of the falls and a rectangular dam-shaped building. Cliffs rise up behind the building. A white mist rises up off the top of the falls leading the viewer into the background space, small hills and a fraction of gray sky.
