The American Prints series, on view from the fall of 1972 to the winter of 1973, brought prints by some of the biggest names in 20th century abstract and pop art to the St. Catherine Gallery, including works by Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Marisol Escobar, and Robert Rauschenberg, among others. Notably, print was not the primary medium for many of the artists featured: Claes Oldenburg and Louise Nevelson, for example, are better known as sculptors, and Lee Friedlander as a photographer.  Included here are the catalogs of the three exhibitions, as well as a mailer promoting the first in the series.
