Abby With Her Doll

In the center of the composition is a young girls is standing and facing left in a room and holding a doll in her arms. She is wearing a blue long sleeved dress, dark tights and dark boots. She is looking slightly down at the dolls face and has her arms up near her waist. There is an open book on the floor in front of her next to her feet. On both sides of the girl are different pieces of furniture. Behind the girl, in the center, is a large window where a fence or guard rail is visible. Beyond the fencing is a tree on the left side of the window with cloth like things draped on or near it.
