Title

Four Haitian Women

Description

In the foreground are four brightly dressed female figures of different shapes and sizes carrying goods on their heads. All figures are highly stylized with exaggerated parts of their bodies (ie. extremely narrow waists, small head with large torso, narrow legs, etc). The first woman on the left side is wearing a yellow dress with an orange sash and a yellow head wrap and she is very thin. She holds her left hand up to her face. The second woman is short and thicker with a dark reddish dress and yellow sash. She carries a green melon on her head. The third woman is larger than the other three. She carries a green fruit up over her head. Her dress is lime green with an orange sash and white head wrap. The woman on the far right is wearing a yellow dress with an orange sash and is white head wrap. They are walking through grass moving from left to right. In the background there appears to be a blue sky.
