Haitian Night

Dublin Core

Title

Haitian Night

Description

A tri-colored composition, white, black & yellow, contains a large gathering of figures interacting with each other and filling a vast space from immediate foreground through the middle ground into the background hillside. They appeared to be all dressed in similar yellow or white garments and head coverings; some are seated, others are standing. The figures are all highly stylized with stick-like limbs and very loosely defined bodies. The overall composition is dark and even black in the background with an unexplainable light or glow in the center foreground.
