Dancing Up the Corn

Dublin Core

Title

Dancing Up the Corn

Description

This circular, lightweight bowl is painted a light green on the outside. In the inside, three women are depicted in the center. They are positioned side-by-side holding hands, and appear to be dancing. They wear decorative, bright clothing in patterns and stripes. A black border is painted around the inner edge of the inside of the bowl. Within this border are repeating patterns of ears of corn. The husks are green and the corn is multicolored, including yellow, white, purple and red colors. The finish of the bowl is matte; however, it does reflect light.
Inscription reads: "Melissa Leslie Greene; 1999; Dancing Up the Corn"
