Marshall Plan

A selection of posters from the St. Catherine University collection. These posters were originally printed in 1950 as part of a contest promoting the Marshall Plan.

In 1950, a poster contest was held to raise awareness of the Marshall Plan and its effects in Europe. One poster ("All Our Colors to the Mast") was awarded first prize, one poster was awarded second prize, one was (not in collection) was awarded third prize, while 7 received fourth place and 15 received 5th place.

The poster contest was part of a campaign to promote goodwill toward the Marshall Plan and economic recovery efforts, in order to combat the rise of Communism.
