Postcards

Postcards with images of Minnesota's streetcars were published by several agencies, including the Acemgraph Company (Chicago, IL), V.O. Hammon Publishing Company (Chicago, IL), and Wayne Paper Box & Printing Corporation (Fort Wayne, IN), among others.

(Above) Urban streetcar lines connected to "streetcar boats" on Lake Minnetonka. The fleet of boats ran from the early 1900s to 1926, when they were phased out and deliberately sunk by Twin City Rapid Transit. The steamboat Minnehaha was raised in 1980 and restored. She provides passenger serivce on Lake Minnetonka to this day.
